The Province of Zambales, like the rest of the Philippines, lives on the more basic satisfiers of the good life FOOD! A variety of homegrown delights accompany the province's magnificent attractions and destinations, whipped up by the changes and transformations in the province's culture.
San Felipe - Bagnet
Zambales' version of Ilocos' Pork Chicharon. This Zambales rendition of chicharon, meticulously made by San Felipe residents, is crunchy and too exquisite to explain. This dish will definitely give one a taste of joy when paired with a bowl of chili and vinegar, a bowl of hot steaming rice, and local pinakbet. Bagnet is sold at the San Felipe Public Market and is best purchased between the hours of 8 and 10 a.m. every day.

Zambales Mangoes
The juicy, luscious mangoes of Zambales are maybe its most famous delicacy! The DInamulag type is the most popular of the Zambales mango kinds, known for its exceptional sweetness and taste beyond words. Zambales mangoes are one of the thousand reasons why people keep returning to the area, with the provincial festival named for the Dinamulag type. Apart from bringing home a bag of mangoes, Zambales mangoes are also made into scrumptious sweets, fascinating cocktail cocktails, and refreshing fresh mango drinks.

Pastillas
Many areas in the Philippines claim to make the best pastilles in the country, but wait till you try the carabao milk pastillas from Iba and Palauig municipalities. Zambales pastilles are prepared from fresh carabao milk and delicately processed by womensfolk before being wrapped in spotless white Japanese paper and sealed in simple perfection by tiny homes. After one bite of the Zambales pastilles, you'll understand that this is THE pastilles you've been waiting for all along.
